Make sure that you do not make it too tight or too loose. You should add up five inches to the measurement that you get to determine the size of your bra’s band. If your rib cage measures 31 inches, plus 5 inches, your band size is 36. In case the measurement you get is an odd number, you must consider the next even number as your size. For example, your rib cage measures 28inches, plus 5 inches, you get 33. Therefore, your bra size is 34.
After getting the band size, you must take the measurement of your bust for your cup size. To get your cup size, put the tape measure around your bust at the fullest point. Then, you must subtract that number to the measurement of your rib cage to determine whether you are a cup A, B, C and so on. Every inch difference between your rib cage measurement and your bust measurement signifies a different cup size. If your rib cage measurement is 36 and your bust measurement is 39, your bra size is 36C.
